Sure there's a Dan Deacon show at Emo's (purchase those $10 tickets here), which we're sure will be rad cause of the 14-piece orchestra, but we'll be at The Parish checking out some of the BEST local talent Austin has to offer. We mentioned both of these shows on our weekly concert recommendations that we post every Monday for you all, but thought this show in particular deserved its own post.
Tickets for tonight's show are $7, purchase them here.
If you haven't heard already, we're also sponsoring a show on May 2nd at La Zona Rosa. Ume will be headlining the bill along with support from True Widow and The White White Lights. RSVP at Do512 for $5 entry and also a chance to win a free pair of tickets. Don't miss out!
Hope everyone is still enjoying all the Free Week shows, still got a few more days to go.
We mentioned it before on this weeks show list but wanted to make a special post to highlight this show on Saturday. In addition to boasting a great line up this Saturday's show is also for a very good cause. The Black and White Years will be making a special appearance and The Zest of Yore will be performing along with Amy Cook and Corto Maltese.
The Living City Benefit Concert is to support Project Transitions. This Austin institution is dedicated to serving people with HIV and AIDS by providing hospice, housing and support in a compassionate and caring environment. The goal of this event is to spread the word about the changing realities of the AIDS epidemic in its 21st century.
The show will cost $10 and is at Club Deville starting at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1. There will be lots of door prizes including gift certificates from End of An Ear, Whole Foods and Room Service.
