Porcelain Raft | "The Way Out" [Video]

We absolutely loved Porcelain Raft's (aka Mauro Remiddi) debut last year. With that said, the bar has been set high for future endeavors. The first offering from the new album, "Think of the Ocean" was esqusitely ethereal, while the newest track to emerge sounds entirely different. "The Way Out" was written with Hurricane Sandy in mind and sounds just as chaotic and dreary.

"I wrote "The Way Out" in New York during Hurricane Sandy. I was walking home, keeping my head down because of the rain. I noticed on the sidewalk that all of the trees had their roots growing throughout the pavement. Nature couldn't be held back by cement.  I started to notice mold on the walls of buildings and the stains it created, and realized it didn't matter how many times we paint the walls white, nature will always stain them again, and the stain will grow bigger with time. The vision of it makes you surrender." -Mauro Remiddi

Porcelain Raft's sophomore album Permanent Signal drops next week on August 20th via Secretly Canadian.
