The Pony's

Nothing like waisting a Sunday watching television and jumping on the Arcade Fire blog bandwagon. Hopefully I got it out of my system for a few days. Although I am excited about the bands return. Another band I am excited to see coming back is The Pony's. The bands first release on the Matador imprint is titled "Turn The Lights Out", which I thought was funny because Interpol's first release on Matador was titled "Turn On The Bright Lights". But that's just me being stupid. The band will be touring during the spring and my friend Cause=Time was kind enough to share the dates.

The Pony's on tour:
12-Chicago, IL @ Schubas Tavern (Tomorrow Never Knows Festival)
13-Bloomington, IN @ Paulie's

March ( I would expect a SXSW show or two)

18-Houston, TX @ The Mink
19-New Orleans, LA @ One Eyed Jack's
21-Atlanta, GA @ The Earl
22-Carrboro, NC @ Cat's Cradle
23-Baltimore, MD @ Ottobar
24-Washington DC @ Black Cat
25-Philadelphia, PA @ Johnny Brenda's
26-New York, NY @ Bowery Ballroom
27-Cambridge, MA @ TT The Bear's Place
31-Chicago, IL @ Logan Square Auditorium

Here is a cool photo of the band with Austin's own, Leslie. If your not from Austin here's the rundown:

Leslie Alicia Cochran is a vagrant cross-dresser and arguably the most locally famous street person in Austin, Texas. He is an outspoken critic of police treatment of the homeless in the downtown Austin area. Many consider him to be the epitome of the Keep Austin Weird campaign.
