Somehow between the success of Stranger Things and IT, Finn Wolfhard found time to not only start a band but also record an EP, play a few festivals and make their late night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live. You could quickly look at this as some novelty for child star that is having a very triumphant moment in their career if Wolfhard's enthusiasm for the music wasn't so apparent. Calpurnia is a band of teenagers with a style that relays a much older soul. The lo-fi fuzzy sound of their debut EP, Scout, is a welcome surprise and the band recently recorded a Spotify Singles session that featured a cover of Weezer's "Say It Ain’t So" that the group was inspired to record after playing it so much on the video game Rock Band.

This fall and into early next year Calpurnia will embark on a world tour that will include three Texas dates including a stop in Austin at Scoot Inn.
